Chris is focused on the long term. What began with a Landscape Diploma grew into the business that he and Colin started over 27 years ago, and has now become one of Australia's leading providers of horticulture services and grounds maintenance management solutions. In the meantime, Chris has consistently exposed himself to innovation and inspiration in order to develop his managerial abilities and enhance the company's operations.
PersonalChris has an active home life and enjoys the challenge of a good mountain bike trail – so much so that he's often training for an endurance event. He's is married to his high school sweetheart and is the very proud father of two girls.

Colin Richardson
Colin is driven first and foremost by the desire to improve the quality of commercial landscaping and horticulture in Australia. In the process, he wants to make Skyline the country's premier landscape company. Continual improvement is at the forefront of both our business strategy and his own professional development.
With landscaping in his blood, Colin has been involved in the industry since he was a young teenager.
PersonalColin approaches his home life and working life with equal passion and vigour, and likes nothing better than facing and beating a challenge! To relax, the very proud husband and father of two beautiful children enjoys plenty of water sport and most physical activities.

He's spent extensive time with leading garden landscaping corporations around the world, and he continues to consult to industry organisations and government departments on guidelines and policy, workmanship reporting methods, rectification and implementation planning.
Colin's leadership provides a nurturing environment where people are encouraged to grow and reach their potential. He's committed to providing real career pathways to his staff members, and believes that people always do their best when they are supported and encouraged.

Mick Culley
Michael is an exceptional tradesman and manager with more than 20 years' experience in landscape construction and maintenance. Since joining Skyline, Michael has quickly risen the ranks, from field team leader to Client Account Manager and now Operations Manager, where we take advantage of his vast field knowledge to organise and lead the field teams. In this role, he's in charge of all scheduling, resourcing, purchasing, training and mentoring, and supervisor support.
PersonalFamily, surfing and football. These three things sum up Michael's passions outside work. With two sons growing up quickly and a supportive wife to keep him busy, he works hard to fit in an early morning surf whenever he can.

Brendan Smith
With a wealth of expertise in landscape maintenance, construction and irrigation, we feel privileged to have Brendan as part of the Skyline team. Brendan is process minded and has a natural affinity for organisation.
PersonalBrendan's enthusiasm for sport covers a wide spectrum, but currently focuses on his ambition to become a taekwondo black belt. Being the father of two girls and a new born also takes up much of his time – and considerably more patience and focus.

Darren Bell

PersonalDarren is a country boy at heart with horticulture in his blood. He grew up in Central Wheat Belt north of Perth on a family farm. When Darren is not enjoying time with his fiancée and four kids, you’ll find him riding quad bikes, playing golf and watching the Eagles play.
ProfessionalDarren is heading up Skyline’s Western Australia operations, where his blend of landscape management expertise and “can do” approach is ideal for the start-up contracts we are rolling into. He’s leveraging off a many years of business relationships across the WA landscape sector on Skylines behalf. Darren’s local profile and industry connections are an invaluable asset to Skyline as we expand our West Coast operations.
Darren started out his horticulture career working for over a decade on his family farm a few hours north of Perth. This gave him a love of the landscape and a desire to treat every landscape he works on as his own. He’s mastered a range of skills such as broad acre mowing, irrigation, fertilising, pest control and managing disease with spraying. Since then, Darren ran a large commercial and residential landscaping business for seven years,. His successful business specialised in hard and soft landscape construction and landscape maintenance.
A great communicator and active listener, Darren always takes the time to understand a client’s needs, ensuring our pricing, methodologies and tailored solutions provide them with the best possible outcomes. As WA Operations Manager, he’s heavily involved in all new contracts and business proposals. Darren has a practical hands-on approach to his position; high level of mechanical aptitude; great problem solving skills and a positive outlook.
Gavin Buxton
Being in the industry for over 25 years has provided Gavin with incredible knowledge and expertise of landscape and grounds management. He currently cares for a number of premier clients across the Melbourne area for industrial and commercial properties, retirement villages, and government-owned sites.
As a Client Account Manager for Skyline, Gavin takes a personal interest in each and every one of his clients.
PersonalAFL, camping, Golf, Water skiing, horse racing, wine and good food. It can be hard to fit all of these into one weekend, but if Gavin can find a way, you know he will. He loves his social life – cherishing time spent with friends and enjoying the good things. At home is favourite room in the house is the kitchen enjoying the challenge of cooking inspiring food for his wife and three sons.

Matt Kenny
In his 10 years with Skyline, Matt has been key to the company's growth and success. As Senior Client Accounts Manager, he's heavily involved in all new contracts and business proposals.
PersonalWhether he's cycling, surfing, fishing or camping, Matt's love of the outdoors is always keeping him active. Steve has extensive experience working with Local Government to develop integrated management programs for sports fields, public open spaces and linear infrastructure networks.
Steve’s background includes working as a consultant in the turf industry where he has project managed research projects, and worked on product and program development initiatives in Australia and Asia.

Tim Jenson
Country-music loving Tim is an avid body boarder, having grown up in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire surfing some of the world’s best breaks. He is driven by goals and achieving them. Tim’s thirst and excitement for new adventures sees him often pushing the limits and finding new waves to conquer, be it Phillip Island, the Mentawais or the Cook Islands.
ProfessionalTim is heading up Skyline’s Victorian expansion, where his “can do” approach and service-driven philosophy is perfect for the start-up contracts we are rolling into. Be it managing a field crew of 20 people across a multimillion dollar harbour side landscape projects, or firing up big-budget greenfield site developments, Tim’s excelled in every facet of operations management and business development over the last decade.
Warm and easy-going, Tim takes the time to understand his client’s requirements, to listen, and to ensure that he will tailor a program to deliver the outcomes they want. Aaron Curtin
Aaron goes above and beyond to ensure that his clients receive the best service possible. He takes great pride in being responsible for many of the high-profile resorts and estates that Skyline cares for, and is focused on building lasting professional relationships.
Starting his career in the indoor plant industry, Aaron has diversified his talents over the last 20 years to include an extensive, hands on understanding of the entire landscape industry.
PersonalOutdoors, Aaron enjoys mountain biking riding and photography, but you would have to say that his passion lies in emerging technology. Landscape gardeners generally don't tend to be the most technologically advanced, but this is an exception when it comes to Aaron. Aaron is definitely up to date on technology and how it can benefit him in the workplace. Now as father to a beautiful son, he may have to create a little extra time for his parenting duties.

Brett has over eighteen years of industry experience in both Bush Regeneration and Natural Area Maintenance, he has also been involved with the Supervision and Management of Nurseries and Open Space within local Government. After serving his apprenticeship with a smaller Sydney based landscape firm he achieved his Certificate 3 in Parks and Gardens and then furthered his qualification by gaining Certificate 2 in Bush Regeneration.
Brett came to Skyline in 2010 after having worked with Strathfield Council for ten year's. Over this time he was involved with many projects and also served as Supervisor and Senior Horticulturalist within Council. His role also allowed him to work on a diverse range of proects where he coordinated and oversaw the work. Some of these included specific qualifications in re-vegetation management.

PersonalCameron is a WA local having grown up in the City Beach area. He’s a keen swimmer, surfer and bush walker but also enjoys watching the AFL and Cricket when he’s not busy keeping up with his young family. As part of his commitment to leading a fit and healthy lifestyle he has also completed the Rottnest Channel Swim 5 times in the Team Category.
Cameron is a big supporter of the environment and community. He is involved with volunteer works with Coastcare, ready to get involved where needed. His work with those members of the community living with disabilities is a source of pride for Cameron and a reflection of his character.
ProfessionalCameron has over 22 years of industry experience from owning and operating his own Garden and Lawn maintenance service for four years to then working with larger organisations such as Shepard Lawn Mowing and Earth Care Landscape Services for the next seven years.
Within that time Cameron initialised the City of Stirling volunteer Coastcare Group, driven by his interest in the environmental management side of horticulture and general love of the WA coastline.
Cameron has been a hands on person that likes to be able to lead, train and mentor based on his own experience. Working for Activ Property Care provided him with an opportunity to work with those living with a disability in an industry that he loves.
His role was Contract Coordinator and Business Development however initially the growing Social Enterprise business provided more hands on mentoring opportunities for him. During his 12 years with Activ Property Care Cameron was involved with Landscape Design, Environmental Reports, Contract meetings, Customer Liaisons and inductions. He was also key in completing larger tenders as well as general quoting his role also involved overseeing subcontractor performance on a variety of contracts.

PersonalLife-long cricket enthusiast Gordon has been batting for the Queens Cricket Club ever since moving up from Sydney in 2006. When he’s not getting runs on the board, Gordon enjoys riding bikes with his partner on the weekend and catching up with his mates.
ProfessionalSkyline has relied on Gordon’s leadership for over a decade. He started his career as a brush cutter, and since he joined Skyline, Gordon has been a valued member of the Skyline team
Gordon’s landscaping skills, rapport with workmates and natural leadership skills saw him fast-tracked to a Supervisor role.
Today Gordon is a highly experienced Client Account Manager with a detailed understanding of the landscape industry. He oversees all our major local government contracts, and has some commercial properties throughout south-east Queensland. Gordon is completely open and honest in his communication, providing clients with clearly defined strategies for achieving value-oriented results.
And when it comes to start-up contracts, Gordon’s expertise has been invaluable. He works with our clients to ensure we commence contracts on time with all resourcing in place to deliver the service from day one of the contract. Supported by his leadership, Skyline has transitioned smoothly onto numerous large scale local government contracts, from the Sunshine Coast to Victoria and Western Australia.

Jenni Vella
Known for her warmth, enthusiasm and professionalism, Jenni is an outstanding Client Account Manager. She is customer-focused and quickly builds a rapport with clients and stakeholders. Whether she's dealing with a property owner or a tenant, she considers it as her duty to ensure their best interests are being served at all times.
PersonalJenni is married with two children (or three, if you include the dog, Sash). On weekends she relaxes with her two favourite – and distinct – pastimes: waterskiing with the family and quilting with friends.
ProfessionalKnown for her warmth, enthusiasm and professionalism, Jenni is an outstanding Client Account Manager. She is customer-focused and quickly builds a rapport with clients and stakeholders. Jenni joined Skyline in 2007 as an Assistant Manager before her dedication and work ethic soon identified her for promotion to her current position.

With a background in design, Jenni has a proven eye for detail and a strong appreciation for presentation. Joe Galea

PersonalJoe loves to eagerly follow rugby league all year round and is a diehard Tigers fan. Joe’s other passion is food; he loves cooking all kinds of gastronomical delights and also enjoys getting out to explore as many restaurants and other eateries as he can.
Joe also enjoys the simple things in life like spending time with the family, gardening and doing odd jobs around the house.
ProfessionalJoe started his Horticultural Career at Concord Golf Club were he completed an apprenticeship. Joe learned the finer details of maintaining highly manicured gardens as well as developing in depth skills in greenkeeping.
Joe spent 11 years supervising the grounds maintenance of a large aged care facility where he built strengths in planning and implementing work programs with an emphasis on setting priorities and to maintain quality standards. As a result Joe won numerous awards in the Local Council Garden Competitions including one of Grand Champion. During this time he also starting developing in management through completing numerous courses and experiencing facility management first hand. Collectively, these skills have seen Joe grow into an “Aged Care Specialist” in regards to garden maintenance with a great knowledge of the aged care industry.
Joe is also experienced in maintaining living native collections while working at the Australian Botanic Gardens – Mount Annan as a Senior Horticulturalist.
As a manager Joe believes highly in a structured approach to achieve quality results in every application he is involved in directly, as well as indirectly. This approach allows him to strive for the best results possible for Skyline’s clients.

Matt's enthusiasm for the industry is obvious. He became a fully qualified teacher before relinquishing that career to follow his true passion: horticulture. He doesn't regret it for a second either.

Sean has over 13 years' management and consulting experience in the industry, consulting for local councils, government departments, facility managers and large developers. An invaluable member of the Skyline management team, Sean provides his clients with practical and cost effective outcomes for their horticultural needs.
With a background in land rehabilitation as well as horticulture, Sean's strengths are in optimising horticultural assets.
PersonalLuke is very much a family orientated person with a keen interest in outdoor lifestyle. Camping, 4WDing and weekend road trips provide the getaway his family need for some quality time with his wife and two boys, and social opportunities with friends.
Luke brings to the table a career in Arboriculture & Horticulture that is varied and covers a number of facets including Local Government, Private Contracting and Professional Consulting within both industries.
Prior to kick-starting his career in an apprenticeship with Penrith City Council, Luke began his interest in Arboriculture casually working with a private tree contractor within the Blue Mountains.
Once his apprenticeship began with Penrith City Council in the Parks and Gardens section, Luke was able to experience a number of different sectors within Council outdoor services. Upon completion of his apprenticeship, Luke returned to Tree services and an Arboricultural career with Blacktown City Council first as an Assistant, then working his way up to Team Leader and acting Tree management Officer.
It was in that time acting as a Tree Management Officer that Luke readjusted his focus in the tree industry, and began studying the Diploma of Arboriculture with the view of becoming a full time Consultant. After a year continuing his studies, Luke was given an opportunity at his first consulting role with a Landscape Design company who had a full time Arboricultural Consultancy department known as Arboreport.
The skills, attention to detail and development of industry knowledge Luke was able to achieve working with Arboreport while completing his studies provided opportunities within other fields of Arboriculture, finally opening the doors to a Managing and Consulting Role with Skyline Tree Care, a new venture of Skyline Landscape services
Under Luke’s guidance and working with a passionate team, Skyline Tree Care has since grown into a leading provider for Tree Services within both the Private and Commercial sector. Luke’s commitment to the company and bringing its clients the highest level of quality service ensures that Skyline Tree Care will continue to grow and succeed in becoming a brand you can trust as a provider of tree services.
